HAZRAT UMAR BIN KHATAB (R.A)’S QUOTES

EARLY LIFE

 “HAZRAT UMAR BIN KHATAB(R.A)” was  born in  580 A.D. His  father  name  was  ‘KHATAB’  and grand father was  ‘NUFAIL’. He  belonged to ‘ADI’ tribe of ‘QUREYSH’ in Macca. He was about  10 years elder than ‘HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W)’ and  both  have  same  ancestors. “HAZRAT UMAR(R.A)” was  one  of  the few  educated  persons  of  the  entire  ‘QUREYSH’  tribe, who  could  both  read  and  write. Due  to  the  athletic abilities  he  was  one  of  the  best  wrestler,  and  also  a best  horse-rider.

ACCEPTANCE OF ISLAM

UMAR(R.A)  had  not  accept  the  message  of  ALLAH (S.W.T).  Once  the ‘HOLY PROPHET (S.A.W.W)’  asked  the  ‘ALLAH ALMIGHTY’  about  granting  the  companionship of  either  ‘UMAR’  or  abu jahl.  But  at  last  ‘HE (R.A)’ accept  ‘ISLAM’  on  the  hands  of ‘HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W)’.

    “AL-FAROOQ”

 Till  the  ‘UMAR (R.A)’  never  entered  into ISLAM.  Muslims  could  not  offer   salah  publicly  due  to the  fear  of  forceful  chiefs  of  Qureyshi  tribes.  He  was the  one  who  first  suggested  the  ‘HOLY PROPHET (S.A.W.W )’  that  they  should  perform salat  in  Haram,  where  the  messenger  of  ALLAH (SWT) for  the  first  time  lead  the  Muslim  prayer. Due  to such  courageous  parposal  of  HAZRAT UMAR (R.A),  He was  given  the  title  of “AL-FAROOQ”   by
“HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H)”.

IF PROPHET AFTER MUHAMMAD(S.A.W.W):
This  Hadith  shows  that   HAZRAT UMAR(R.A)  had   such  great  personality  characteristics  that  he was  even  counted  closer  to  prophets.

                        “If  there  were  to  be  a  Prophet   after  me , Indeed  he  would  be  ‘UMAR’,  son  of   Khatab.”                                   (Tirmidhi).
