“Hazrat ALI” was born 15 September 601 AD. He was the cousin and son-in-law of “HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H)”. His father ‘ABU TALIB’ was the custodian of  “KHANA KABAH”, and also SHEIKH of “BANU HASHIM TRIBE”.  “ALI” was born in “KABAH”. HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W)   had a close relation with ALI’s parents. MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W) took “ALI” to ‘HIS’ home to raise him, when he was five years old. It was not due to any financial stress that ‘ALI’s father was going through.



Since ‘ALI’ was five years old,  He was   living with HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W)  and “HIS’ wife  “HAZRAT KHADIJA (R.A)”.  When ‘ALI’ became 9 years old MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W)  announced “HIMSELF” as  the  Prophet “of ISLAM” and ‘ALI’ was the first male to accept  “ISLAM”.  After HAZRAT  KHADIJA (R.A), ALI was the second person who accepted “ISLAM”. When ‘HE’ was 22 or 23 years old ‘HE’ migrated to MADINA and MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W) was creating bonds of  brotherhood among his companions, “HE” selected ‘ALI’(R.A) as HIS brother, saying that ALI and ‘I’ belong to same tree. ‘ALI’ (R.A) was active in ‘HIS’ service and deputy, serving in his ‘ARMY’.



  In 623, MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W) told’ “ALI” that  “GOD”  ordered ‘HIM’  to give HIS daughter “FATIMA  ZAHRA”  to ‘ALI’ in  marriage. ‘ALI’ had four children, their two sons (HASSAN AND HUSSAIN) cited by ‘MUHAMMAD’ to be ‘HIS’ own sons.



 ‘ALI’(R.A)  was khalifa between 656 to 661. He was the fourth caliph. Hazrat Ali(R.A) shown the deep sympathy for poor and  orphans. “If God grants wealth and prosperity to any person, he should show kindness to his deserving kith and kin, should provide for the poor”.



  “ALI” is known by some famous titles, from which some are given below:

1- ‘AL-MURTAZA’(The chosen one)

2-  ‘AMIR-AL- MOMININ’(Commander of faithful ones)

(door of city of  knowledge)

4- ‘ABU TURAB’(Father of soil)

5- ‘ASADULLA’(The lion of GOD)

6- ‘HAYDAR’(Lion or brave heart)   


After the death, HAZRAT ALI(R.A) was buried secretly as the kharji could harm‘HIS’grave.

  • “You should have hope in God alone and should fear nothing but your sins.”HAZRAT ALI(A.S)

  • “The best deed of a great man is to forgive and forget.”HAZRAT ALI(A.S)

  • “Courtesy costs nothing, but buys everything.”HAZRAT ALI(A.S)

  • “He who trusts the world, the world betrays him.”HAZRAT ALI(A.S)

  • “Patience ensures victory.”HAZRAT ALI(A.S)
